Man, Bedzhanan’s scary! you wonder how much potential he has left in him to be tapped? He power jerks those weights as if they were featherweights! So quick and so damn strong! I’m sure he must be working on the snatches. If he improves the snatches then I’m just thrilled to even wonder what he can achieve.
Wonder what he has clean and jerked in training. Has to be something like 245kg.
So generally is there a percentage above the best weights lifted at competitions that they aim for in training? So theoretically their best weights in competition are about 95% of their max at training?
I don’t think there is a set percentage of competition lifts vs. training lifts.
The goal is just to lift as much as possible in training and try to minimize the ‘damage’ done by making the weight class and passing drug tests.
Where is Dmitry Klokov in all of these competitions?
He did not have to compete (2nd at worlds, Akkayev 1st). He and Akkayev focus on peaking in London I suppose.
