Ok, so the 2012 World’s Strongest Man started this week.
Update: Watch Recordings of the Events here.
Did you enjoy the coverage so far? The live streams? The YouTube videos? The always up to date website?
How, in this day and age, can you screw up your online presence that bad? It’s like they took a look at a random weightlifting federation website and thought to themselves, “How can we make an even worse experience for the fans?”.
Congratulations WSM, you might have pulled it off!
Anyway, if you want to follow along the elimination results, here is a spreadsheet made by fans from a forum who are entering results as they happen.

Hello great site allthingsgym!! Where can you stream this event?
GregorATG says
That’s the point. You can’t.

OOPS should have wrote the comment here, well se above 🙂
D says
Haha yes i got that when i read the whole thing you wrote, not good 🙁 By the way i really like the site, good job!

Koklyaev pls.
I’m not a fan of their group system. I.e. a 26.93 second truck pull destroys a 29.94 second pull and should get more points.

The problem is that IMG’s TV contracts prevent them from streaming or live updating results, and even prevents the athletes themselves from talking about it until it airs on TV. The fact of the matter is that TV broadcasters just don’t have much interest in strength sports, as evidenced by the darth of any coverage what-so-ever, so WSM doesn’t have much negotiating power and it’s a miracle it gets on TV at all.

Maybe the whole event first has to die before it it can be reborn with competent people who understand media.
Sad situation for spectators and athletes alike.

great site, seems like the big Z is back or is it the fact that they had better (power) events this year.
Daniel says
Yes agreed, the official website sucks. Keep up the good work here… Sport is first, media is secondary or we all lose
