Poorly chosen date: it’s right before the respective continental championships (or nationals). Early May would’ve been a better choice. Only 36 lifters total.
PJsays
They didn’t want a “quality” tournament, just a tournament to give chance to some weightlifters to make themselves qualify for Rio. as you know all weightlifters have to particpate in two IWF sanctioned tournaments.
“Guessing there will be a live stream in time on Saturday.”
LPsays
No Andrey Demanov on the startlist.

I don’t know how this works but I can’t accept that they couldn’t have invited REAL 94 kg athletes. Why on earth do they need 77 and 85 kg lifters to do the job???I mean there are nice money prizes and they invite guys who start at 135 kg? Pathetic.

195.80kg! Mogushkov is now the heaviest in IWF comp I’ve heard of.
Leonsays
I think he is just too fat. His results are constantly decreasing and this showing was really rather weak. Not even a bodyweight snatch! I like the guy, honestly, but what he does to his body is neither healthy nor helpful.
Leviatharsays
His best prefomences is WWC 2011 and EWC 2015, 192-240 in wwc at 184 kg bodyweight and 202-230 at euros with 189,9 bodyweight, here he is heavier and lifts less than he 2011.
logicalfellacsays
I agree. He showed a lot of promise in 2014’s nationals with that 213 snatch. Don’t know what’s happened to him since then.

233 kg in the cnj for Peter Nagy! New hungarian national record. He broke Stark Tibor’s 230 kg record from the 2000 Sidney Olympics – big congrats!
