wlift84 says
no Xiang Yanmei, Kang Yue or Sun Yongjie 🙁
90 is weak even in China
grobpote says
I fear that the new 112 or something category for men will be the same at first. Than hopefully they will live up to it’s rightful possibilities (remembering Botev and Zakharevich).
Victor says
The 77kg 166+198=364 dude’s name is Li Daying, born 1998 (20 y/o)!
Victor says
Li Daying went 161+191=352 just last year at the National Games (and celebrated the result) so this is pretty great improvement for a young lifter (+12kg in 8 months!). He also went 6 for 6 in both these 2 comps so fantastic consistency so far!
andreas says
364kg would have won him the gold in Anaheim in December! Does anyone know how tall he is? Staying in the 77 kg class or maybe moving up to 85?

69 & 77 are wonderful to watch.
can you make a quick recap of who’s retired ? Liao hui / Lu Xiaojun/ Su Ying ?
wlift84 says
Long Qingquan, Zhang Jie, Ding Jianjun, Zhong Guoshun, Liu Hao, Xiang Yanmei, Tan Yayun, Li Ping, Kang Yue, Deng Mengrong…
Of course we don’t know for certain, but them not being in the Nationals in an important year is cause for concern.
zerocool says
my thanks good sir
Fanchen Bao says
Liao Hui is most likely retired (was the guest commentator for a few broadcasts). Lu Xiaojun is still training in the national team (so not retired yet), but did not compete this time. Yet given the rise of Li Daying, he might choose to retire as well. Su Ying retired a while ago due to injury.
Vaichyon says
btw 77 kg winner is Li Dayin, not Li Dajin
