New on our Patreon: 81kg Snatch Battle!
Featuring: Nino Pizzolato, Harrison Maurus and Alex Bellemare!
Have you ever wondered about just how closely top athletes’ training lifts mimic their platform attempts?
We’ve got just the video you’ve been looking for! In this video we look at the top three finishers in the men’s 81 session at the Roma 2020 World Cup—Nino Pizzolato, Harrison Maurus, and Alex Bellemarre—and watch a combination of warmup footage, training hall footage from just days prior, and competition lifts.
This is a great chance to see how top athletes change—or don’t!—under the pressures of lifting on the platform. We also look at them side by side in glorious slow motion, which is a great way to learn about what successful lifts have in common and how they differ from athlete to athlete.
We know it’s been a while since most of us have had the chance to see an in-person competition—hopefully this helps scratch that itch!
As always, thank you all for your generous support of our work. Enjoy the video and let us know what you think!
