    That’s REALLY impressive.
I used to think “ROFL Torokhty, Ilyin 94 has more total than 105 gold Torokhty”
But given how much this guy has in tank and how he had large numbers before London.
And that he STILL is a champion and Ilya not any more.
Probably Torokhty olympic drug/numbers policy was very smart.

I agree 100%, and also i must ask if there is any heavier jerks from a 105 lifter in recent time? He weighted 109,3 (with clothes and after breakfest) some days ago so it isnt like he is 5-10 kg heavier either.

Not sure if these count as “recent time,” but Aramnau’s best rack jerk is stated as 260 in an interview from a couple years back. There’s also a video of him doing 240×2. Klokov’s all-time best is apparently 262(!!). Ilya did a fairly easy-looking 250 about a year ago.

In conclusion, this 255 from Torokhtiy is comparable to some of the world’s best!

No doubt Torokhty is a strong and very talent lifter, doing an amazing feat of strength in this video, and not forgetting that he is an olympic champion. But there is not comparison with Ilya, the man has never lost any international competition, is a world record holder, a true legend like Botev and Zakarevich. And as long as I know Ilya is not retired.

yea Torokhty had like 200 kg snatch and 240 c/j in unofficial competitions

Don’t forget Torokhtiy candidly admitted during an interview that he takes Tribestan as all the bulgarian team did (and they were all disqualified…) so i would say, he is on the same field as Ilyin in my opinion..
if i’m not wrong also this site passed that interview
