Andrei Rybakou 179kg Snatch at 2013 Worlds

October 24, 2013 By Gregor Winter

This was the best snatch at the 2013 Worlds 85kg.

Andrei Rybakou went 175, x179, 179 and x194, 194, 200 for a 373kg Total (6th).

Overall I’d say that the 85kg was the most interesting category yet.

Great performances by Artem Okulov (172+209=381), Ivan Markov (175+206=381) and of course the man himself, Apti Aukhadov (175+212=387).

Full Speed

Slow Motion

Also see his 180kg Snatch + 205kg C&J at the 2013 Belarus Championships.

so happy to see Andrei taking the snatch world title!!! His knee troubled him the whole week prior to the competition and even today when he was supposed to come support his friend Streltsov in 94 he didnt show up as the belarussian doctor told me he was in pain

yeah, dont know if they showed the medal ceremony on eurosport, but seeing him hobbling to the podium was painful to watch. That more impressive that this legendary lifter (and one of my favorite ever) won a gold at Worlds at his age and in his condition and health issues history.
