We saw history with first Lasha Talakhsadze snatching 215kg and the Behdad Salimi taking back the snatch world record with 216kg!
This ties Antonio Krastev’s 216kg record.

Salimi blew his wad with that snatch AND had the judges screw him. Rough luck.
The Judges didn’t really screw him in particular, His first attempt was clearly not good, the second one had a slight lock-out failure and the third attempt he didn’t manage to clean it. The judges were very strict, but the same can be said for Mart Seim’s attempt at 250kg which also had a small lock-out failure. The judges were very strict, but they didn’t really screw him over. The 2nd one should not have been given 3 white lights in the first place because the overule made it surely more difficult for Salimi.

I believe he had major surgery to restore his ligaments in his left leg after his accident with
262kg in training. Even his performance in Iran on the clean and Jerk was questionable in the run up
to this competition. Good thing is that he retained his world record but for how long? The next world competition will be when this fight really takes off. Also the judges are too harsh, his first life was questionable but the second was cutting it fine but regardless this is not how a world champion should life. He look weak in the clean and jerk.
