Hi, I run ATG.
Follow me on instagram @gregorwinter (and ATG @atginsta).
Tomic says
Yep.. To bad his knee didnt hold up for C&J
Ashok regiment says
he’s got only his coaches to blame.
GHM says
He was pressing because his could not lock his elbows. He has to use longer grip for C&J similar to Oscar Figueroa.
DylanJM says
You’re right that he couldn’t lock his elbows but I don’t think this had anything to do with his grip width. He was able to jerk as much as 255kg in comp (2014 Asian Games) and 261kg in training with the same grip width he uses now. I think the likely reason for the press outs in Rio was to do with his recent knee injury. There is a lot of force on the knee during the dipping phase of the jerk so perhaps this is affecting his ability to jerk.
Roberto says
That’s why he walked so confident for the plataform to lift that 216.
grobpote says
Wow!!! The greatest snatcher EVER!!! I hope he comes back and does it in competition too.
Tom Bennett says
I look forward to Behdad, Lasha and Lovchev going toe-toe to in the future I hope they all stay healthy. 220kg will fall in the snatch.
PJ says
Per some sources, IWF reduced the ban on Saeid Alihosseini from 12 to 8 years, he will be back soon. I assume people still remember him.
Tom Bennett says
that would be incredible…huge super heavy weight battles. He was hitting legit totals as a junior. Of course he’ll have to compete “clean” like Behdad and Lashsa 😉
Tom Bennett says
that will be amazing…he’s legit
Miguel Salazar says
I hope Albegov beat them all
Tom Bennett says
he certainly could…I’d love to see Lovchev, Albegov, Salimi, Lasha and Moulaie in a head to head battle. Iran vs Russia vs Georgia
Alfonso Rodriguez says
If he could just bring up his Jerk as well and stay healthy, he should be able to stay around for Tokyo 2020.
