**Sypko did the 216.5 in a national meet that was not tested. So it was not recorded as a WR.
Behdad Salimi – New Official Snatch World Record: 214kg
Behdad Salimi’s 217kg Snatch and 256kg Clean and Jerk
Antonio Krastev 216kg World Record Snatch
Alexander Kurlovich 215kg snatch in the 1989 European Championships
And he made it look effortlessly (lift at 4:50)
Evgeny Chigishev, Snatch 211kg

In all fairness, this should be titled “10 Biggest competition Snatchers” not snatches. For example: Krastev set multiple WR’s in Snatch, as did Gunyashev. Just like a competition, whomever did it first should get credit for it. Gunyashev did 211 in a comp long before Chigishev. And no love for Lapikov? lol 😉 Nice compilation though.

Danielyan snatched a 215 and totalled 477.5 maybe on the same basis as Sypko, whose first name is “Yvgeny,” not Eugene. Of course we see Lapikov doing 215 and seemed good for 220.
