Meanwhile at the World Weightlifting Championships…
The records keep falling! This time Boyanka Kostova (58kg, Azerbaijan) increases the 9 year old Snatch World Record in the 58kg class by 1kg to 112kg and the 8 year old 251kg Total World Record by 1kg to 252kg! She also became the first ever Azerbaijan medal winner in women’s weightlifting at the world championships.
Earlier at the Europeans she did 109/137/246. Brian Oliver from the iwf.net website reports:
The Azerbaijan state pays huge rewards to its gold medallists. Last summer, any athlete who won gold in the European Games earned about $100,000, and a delighted Kostova said, “We are very well supported by the government when we win.”

I was on Sportivny Press and in Charniga’s report on the European Championships, he makes a subtle attempt at accusing Kostova of doping http://www.sportivnypress.com/2015/the-2015-european-weightlifting-championships-the-women/ . The woman is 4’11”, very good leverage and form. I do not believe she is doping.
