Why did he even compete there as the only foreigner?
GregorATG says
What kind of question is that?
First people complain that he doesn’t compete, now this.
I think Ireland doesn’t offer too many opportunities to compete. So it’s good that he gets out in the world, makes new connections, gains confidence competing and lifts with people who are stronger than him.
Philip Waterfield says
I think he once said he was in contact with a super heavyweight Polish lifter who helped him a little, could just be he has connections there now. *Pinch of salt*. I hope he PB’s in the Junior Euros on the 6th.
Johnny says
They did a really good job with this meet set-up in general and the video taken. Wish this was how every lifting meet was: music between lifting groups to keep audience entertained, a good announcer, officials who make speeches, and great video coverage.
GregorATG says
That’s right.
They make a really good job broadcasting the meets.
Where was the live stream of the University Championships?
Organizers should take note. Setting up ustream is not that hard.

Pawel Najdek is my coach lol. There were a lot of important people there.
Jon Frough says
I’m glad he’s getting more experience and exposure. Great lifts despite being sick!
Erik says
Did he compete in 85kg or 94 class?
GregorATG says
He competed at 87,7kg bodyweight.
Korba says
It’s worth to note that he broke all seniors and juniors Ireland records in snatch, clean and jerk and total. Well done.
