Update: Read his Interview on ATG.
Clarence Kennedy uploaded another video him (and his buddies) competing.
Footage includes some of his warm up lifts as well.
Snatch: 140kg, 147kg, 152kg
Clean & Jerk: 182kg, 187kg, x192kg
339kg is 5kg more on his total compared to the last comp we saw him.
Again, following himself on the Clean & Jerks is probably what cost him the last attempt.
Looking forward to see him compete at the European Juniors (29.11-9.12). Hopefully some of you will sneak in the warm up room and film it as well.
Comment from Clarence regarding the questions about his weight:
European Juniors 85kg is on December 6th. I have a competition in Poland on the 10th of November. I’m competing at 85kg for the Juniors, afterwards I’m obviously going to move up to the 94s.

Any predictions on how you think CK would place in European juniors ?85kg or 96s
GregorATG says
He has to compete at 85kg at the Juniors, everything else would not make sense.
As far as placing goes, I have no idea what his competition looks like.
TNL says
He does not look like he has much body fat to cut at all, and he lifted at 88kg…I don’t think you can discount the possibility of him lifting in 94kg
GregorATG says
Well, it might not be a lot, but he also is not ‘Lu Xiaojon lean’. So there is a lot of water to lose I think.
supbro says
Yeah, I think Lu Xiaojun is the gold standard of lean-ness lol
Roy Logan says
xiaojun is the gold standard for everything lol
finlifter says
judging by last year (min 344 total for podium finish @ 85) he might be good for the top slots, then again he has 3kg to make weight so that might be an issue. I really haven’t a clue as to how it’ll turn out for him (#5-6 possibly?). I hope his preparation goes well and the man can lift his absolute best at the competition.
kevin says
is weightlifting same day weigh in? or is it weigh in friday lift saturday or sunday, if it’s the latter, should be reasonably easy to drop 3kg of water even for someone that never cut before.
sporting says
2 hour weigh in, a small water cut could be possible but i’m not sure Clarance wants to place high as much as he just wants to compete and put up bigger numbers. I believe long term he’d be 94kg so why risk it?

Thanks for featuring me on this great site!

It’d be awesome if you could do a Q&A and/or guest post if you have any time, it’d be really interesting to read about your insights over the last few years training up to this point. Good luck for Poland and the Euro’s, you deserve a podium finish!
GregorATG says
Good Ideas, I would be up for it.
Korba says
In which city you will be competing in Poland ?
