There were some more fun workouts in the CrossFit UFC Expo.
Static pull up holds, fat bar deadlifts, bar muscle ups etc..
Men’s Workout 1 – “Jackie” X2 “
For time:
- Each athlete does Jackie (1 weight for both men and women)
- Athlete 1 Row 1000, 50 Thrusters (45lbs), 30 Pull-ups. Once Athlete 1 comes off the bar after their 30th pull-up…
- Athlete 2 starts his/her Row 1000, 50 Thrusters (45lbs), 30 Pull-ups.
Men’s Workout 2 – “Dummy Carry Toes-to-Bar”
Max rounds of this in 8 minutes, alternating team members each time:
- Athlete runs across the stadium floor while carrying dummy, puts dummy down, does 15 toes-to-bar, picks dummy back up, runs back to start. That’s 1 round. Partner then does the same work to accomplish 2nd round.
Men’s Workout 3 – “Alternating Chipper”
For time:
- Athlete 1 does 50 Double-unders
- Athlete 2 does 50 Double-unders
- Athlete 1 does 5 Ground-to-overhead (135lbs for men and 95lbs for women)
- Athlete 2 does 5 Ground-to-overhead
3 rounds of that for a total for 30 GTO (Next teammate can’t work until teammate completes his/her 5).
- Athlete 1 does 50 Double-unders
- Athlete 2 does 50 Double-unders
- Athlete 1 does 5 Box Jumps, up and over 30″ for men 24″ for women
- Athlete 2 does 5 Box Jumps, up and over 30″ for men 24″ for women
3 Rounds of that for a total for 30 Box Jump up and overs
- Athlete 1 does 50 Double-unders
- Athlete 2 does 50 Double-unders
Men’s Workout – 4
Workout was complete the following for time:
- 10 Fatbar deadlifts (275/205lbs) then a sprint
- 2nd athlete repeats
- 30 Sit-ups then a spint
- 2nd athlete repeats
- 30 Hand-release push-ups then a sprint
- 2nd athlete repeats
Men’s Workout 5
- Complete as many Bar muscle-ups as possible in 90 seconds
- Partner 2 repeat
- Both Rest 60 seconds, then
- Complete as many 185 pound Shoulder-to-overheads as possible in 90 seconds
Men’s Workout 6 – Final Event
In the final event each team had to complete the following for time:
- 75 Ring dips, reps only counted while the other partner was statically holding their chest to the pull-up bar
- 20 total 155 pound Squat snatches, alternating each rep
- Row a total of 1500 meters, each athlete was only allowed to row while their parter was holding a 225 pound barbell in the deadlift position
- Lunge 65 feet with 65 pound dumbbells
