Hi, I run ATG.
Follow me on instagram @gregorwinter (and ATG @atginsta).
Joe says
Great raw strength. All his technique seems to be spot on
sporting says
Did u ever feature that vid of klokov strict pressing either 162 or 172kg?
GregorATG says
I don’t think I have.
Is it this video you mean? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwhc69hYLso
Just found this in a draft post I forgot about.
Clownface says
That was 157kg but it says his max is 170.
Jonny says
I think that could be 170kg press. If you translate the name of the video it comes as “157 bench press 170 standing Featured”
Might be an incorrect translation or not clear enough as to what’s in the video.
Actually now that I’m trying to figure out the plates, is that a yellow plate in between the red and blue? That would be 157 then
Sirus says
terrific lift, awesome delts!
colt_kalle says
I’ve always wondered about correct technique on this exercise, are one free to arch as much as possible? Or will that increase the risk of injury?
GregorATG says
Well, more arch -> more stress on lower back.
His technique looks like the old Olympic press and is very efficient.
I do my presses the way they were described in Starting Strength . https://allthingsgym.com/2012/09/overhead-press-basics/
