I think this is the most reps (on video) anyone has ever done with 700 lbs (317.5 kgs) in just a belt. Back in the day, John Bernor posted a video of 700 or 705×5 beltless, and Chad Smith has done 700×9 or 10 in wraps, but Kendall is really on another level.
Reinhoudt’s all-time record of 422.5 without wraps will probably fall this year. Ray Williams did 432.5 kgs in competition, but lost tightness at the top and rolled onto the balls of his feet and got redlights. It was in the USAPL, but in any other fed it would have passed. Malanichev said he’s thinking of trying to top Reinhoudt’s record as well: he says when squatting extremely heavy, he thinks it is safer on the knees to use wraps, but said he has done many squats over 400 kgs without wraps in training. With Kendall, and those two guys, I think we are going to see a 425+ no wraps squat in the next year. It’s something to look forward to.
