Here is Part 2 of the Two Doctors’ Documentary about Pyrros Dimas.
This one is all about training! The title – “The Right System at the Right Time” sums it up nicely.
Pyrros talks about his beginnings in Albania, where he built his base using a Russian style programming. That means using a wider range of exercises, more reps in the 60-80% range and varying intensities depending on which training cycle you are in.
Later he switched to Bulgarian style programming with an insane workload.
We are talking about 3 session per day, every day! with Monday, Wednesday Friday being max out, 100% sessions. The day after they did 85% of that max out day.
What’s important to note is how long his transition into this kind of programming took!

There is an anecdote where someone observes the at the time very strong Greek team and is in awe.
Then the coach comes over and explains that it takes a talented athelte aboute twelve years to be prepared
for this kind of training.
I think this is good point for all this BS where people try to integrate some bastardized Bulgarian-esque form
of programming. In that regard the video of Max Aita explaining the Bulgarian system is worth watching.

Note that he actually trained with Abijaev.

as much as i love Dimas looking at his work load how can WADA and USADA celebrate his success and take Ilya down. I am extremely happy he is coming to USAW, but the IOC taking out 98 athletes and probably more later is a joke.
