Hellow Gregor, it’s a pleasure to write in this page and to leave you a comment 😉

Having said that, looking forward information about OAC I read a post in GB forum about your training for OAC, and it’s impressive and I have been following since then (1 week ago, not much), but I just only have a question. What’s the point to the high rep session? Prehab method? Different training to not fatigate the CNS because of OAC progression and weighted session? Thanks in advance,

Your page and those videos of Oly Lifting and supreme, I have you on Bookmark and I check it everyday.

Best wishes from Andalucia, Spain ;D

      Hey Letance,

the point of it was mainly to get some variation in there. Just pounding the low rep range every session will be very hard on your joints and muscles. I mean, I did pull / chin ups every second day. You (or at least I) can’t just keep adding weight every session this way.

So the higher rep stuff gives the body a couple of days in between the low rep sessions, gets the blood pumping.

Ok, I get it, it makes sense. About the low repetition, I did the same thing, 3-5 sets of 1rep per arm, resting 3-5m between sets, assisted band OAC. It may be possible increase to 1 rep in each set? Instead of 1, 2 rep per arm. I mean, the Workout it’s hard, but I felt so strong in this exersice and I feel I could have done at least 1 rep more per set. As long as I keep the strenght range (1-5), would be good, or to demanding for the CNS? Better less than a little more?

        Thanks again.

Impossible for me to tell. I have to say just try it.

Pull ups are not as demanding as say, a deadlift. So I wouldn’t worry about the whole CNS thing.

Just see how you can recover from session to session and track your numbers to see how you do.

These junior russian weightlifters (him and Okulov) are crazy fast. They look like twins of Apti Aukadov in term of technique IMO. It is has if the russian are getting even more technically sound as time goes on…
