Dmitry Klokov & Oleg Chen Interview

July 6, 2013 By Gregor Winter

Another Russian interview …

This might be a new segment: Dmitry’s Sports Interview Show.

Dmitry Klokov sits down with 69kg lifter Oleg Chen. I think it will be interesting to hear what the two teammates have to say.

If you can help translating the main parts that would be great 🙂

Update: This is more about Oleg’s private life and not so much about training.

Towards the end he mentions that he is currently at 72kg instead of 75kg, which makes it a lot easier for him to fit into the 69kg category. He credits his diet change for it. Now he just eats fruits and vegetables with meat and quark.

Twice (in both parts) Dmitry says he wants to have the possibility for everyone to bring their wives to training camps. It would be a lot better for everybody. Oleg agrees.

You knew that not everybody is happy with the new head coach, Alexander  Venkov, but Oleg says that he is happy with the new coach. Just because the coach was no successful weightlifter, does not mean he is a bad trainer. The results of the 2013 Europeans were proof of that. (By the way, Dmitry Khomyakov, also said the same positive words about the new head coach.)
