After hours with Dmitry Klokov …
Here Dmitry talks about his night diet.
YouTube commenter miken5254 translated this (if you can improve / add points please do so):
- wakes up ~11am, skips breakfast and goes to train.
- makes this meal before bed to stave off hunger and to fuel the workout
- uses dry and non fat farmers cheese, spefically Russian cottage cheese called tvorog, and mixes it with that fruit jam you see
- Estimates meal to be around 540 Kcal, ~42 g protein, 95g carbohydrates
- likes the supplements (ZMA, BCAA, L-Arginine) you see there and recommends them to all athletes
- Lastly he only drinks clean water, avoids stuff like lemonade and soda, he tries to stay lean and not eat useless calories
Update: Video with English subtitles
Genus says
It’s actually farmers cheese. I know, I know. Splitting hairs, but its a slight difference. It’s cottage cheese with all of the liquid pressed out,
Evgeny Filatov says
Aha! So that is what it is called in English! First time I bought cottage cheese in US I was like “what the fuck is this goopy shit? Why don’t they have normal cottage cheese and kefir?” What is considered cottage cheese in Eastern Europe is actually farmer’s cheese in US.

says to eat clean…….eats 95 g of sugar right before bed…..some one give him the scum bag steve hat lol
Victor says
Pretty sure he meant carbs.
Jay Blais says
i was being facetious
Oh No, "dirty" food says
Clean is a completely arbitrary term which has no meaning in the real world.
L-Arginine is a load of bollocks unless taken intravenously.

you know, nutritional and supps knowledge in Russia is sooo old and full of broscience that i find it very hard to believe that he doesn’t eat breakfast (nor does Ilin, btw). Everybody is like “breakfast is the most important meal of the day, ain’t wanna go catabolic bro” and all that.
another example is Akkaev’s supplement stack with like 15 different bottles that are basically “test boosters” or “nitric oxide enhancers”.
fcavadas says
the first trains session is a ‘control session’, its made in ‘fasting’, and its a low volume and intensity training, after that, they eat the ‘little lunch'(breakfast in usa) and make the principal session of training.
this is the routine i saw when i went to russia, in the Sport Culture University in moscow
Greg says
Citrulline converts to arginine better but that doesn’t make oral Arginine useless, still works very well at nutrient delivery and lowering blood pressure which you can find a very good study on pub med. It’s probably the primary reason he’s using it.
agram says
Please Mr Klokov, please produce your own line of supplementations.

Paul says
Been eating this every night at Klokov’s camp. The fruit jam makes it perfect.
