Dmitry Lapikov 210kg x2 Snatch

September 1, 2013 By Gregor Winter

Meanwhile in Russia …

Dmitry Lapikov bangs out 210kg Snatch Double!

This seems to be an older video, since this was filmed in Taganrog.

But still, probably the heaviest Snatch double on video so far?

Thanks to Struan for submitting.

Update: Video of 200kg, 205kg

One of the greatest snatches on tape? I mean if you can double 210, 216+ doesn’t seem far off.

      Definitely!

Only thing in recent history that comes close is Lovchev’s 210kg from blocks

Amazing! This is surely an older video, right? Not long ago Lapikov was recovering from an injury and snatching under 130kg.

Since Rezazadeh retired, there really hasn’t been any really big C&J specialists. 200+ snatches are impressive, but are more common these days than a 250+ c&j. I know there have been 2 makes at 254 this year, then Steiners 258 one off at beijing, who else has done 250+ in international competition?

That’s be because 250+cnj are extremely difficult to pull off even for big boys.

      Chigishev 250kg@ Beijing 2008
      Viktors Ščerbatihs 252kg@ EWC 2008
Moulaei Bahador and Ruslan Albegov 254kg@ Summer Universiade 2013

      Behdad Salimi 250kg @ 2011 WWC
      Artem Udachyn 250kg @ 2009 local competition

All that i found, could have missed something.

Agreed. Just the same in the 105 kgs. Nobody over 240 🙁

I agree somewhat. Alexev’s 255 is still a top lift today. His best snatch was below 190, however. So it seems the snatch is still improving (at least in average) whereas the C&J is stalled. If you watch the Olympics of 2000 the top heavy weight lifters start their competition with 250. Currently there seems to be not much competition for Salimi. In London he lifted 254 and was done, because nobody was in sight. I have high hopes for the next World’s.

in london Salimi got 208kg + 247kg no one got 250kg+ at the olympics in London

Behdad salimi has done 250 a few years ago. It would be amazing for someone to pull of 260.

227.00 kg reaches the 500lb mark. Seems to be the one to do it and may be focusing on Danielyan’s 477.5 total. I’d be surprised if he doesn’t do it.

Oh, okay. His leaning style is very similar though…

I guess he learned from the best.
