British Weightlifting Documentary – Girl Power, Going For Gold

July 26, 2012 By Gregor Winter

The BBC made a documentary about 3 British weightlifters as they prepare for the London 2012 Olympics.

Girl Power: Going for Gold

The film follows Zoe Smith (58kg) (@ZoePabloSmith), Hannah Powell (48kg) @hannahpowell92 and Helen Jewell through the various battles for the 2 women’s spots on the Olympic team.

Part 2, Part 3, Part 4

That was a great documentary. I cringed at Zoe’s media stuff, having her do all the useless dumbbell curls. And I felt really bad for the other girls missing their opportunities. I hope Zoe does well, I’ll have to check when she lifts

This was the only weightlifting video my wife actually watch along with me! I might have just started the conversion!
