That may be the easiest 210kg+ snatch I have ever seen. Holy, another 5-6 kg might be a possibility.

Well, it may be quite deceptive impression. He’s powersnatching, and with such technique lift usually looks easy, otherwise there’s no lift at all.

Power snatching? Did we watch the same lift? Sure, he doesn’t go quite as ass to the grass as some other lifters, but his thighs are at least parallel to the ground as he receives the bar. Isn’t that the typical definition of a full snatch?

          I agree, that’s not a power snatch !

And what are the reasons that his clean and jerk look easy?

Great! He is shoe in for medal in Rio. Salimi is still out and no time for getting back. Lovchev could be in. IWF link, http://www.iwf.net/results/results-by-events/?event=341, still has LOVCHEV as 2015 WC.

Yes Lasha will be a serious medal contender for sure, he might give Lovchev a big push. He is crazy explosive!

Is Lovchev gonna be able to compete in Rio after getting popped?

          Yes

          See 2015 ranking
Lovchev is still there on top of the +105 list.
          He seems clean

All doping cases from Houston, except BAZARBAYEV Umurbek, who is already DSQ, are still in the ranking list.
It would be very good if they all are clean.

The hearing on most doping cases from Houston will be held next week. No b-samples have come back with a result different from the a sample as far as I am aware, which means they all had drugs in their system, i.e. not clean.

Any punishment, or lack thereof in case any of them provide an extenuating explanation that is accepted by the hearing committe, has not been decided yet. Most likely the results of all athletes popped in Houston will be erased.

Yes, it would be great battle between Lovchev and Talahadze in Rio, though Lovchev seems stronger in c&j. Soon we’ll figure out if Lovchev goes to Rio or he will not. Just say there’s many inconsistencies in Lovchev’s doping case and he has chances to be justified.

Lovchev this, Turmanidze that. Everyone seemed to forget about Albegov. Still the reigning world champion as far as i am concerned.

I meant Talakadze, not Turmanidze. Irakli is too old now.

definitely has a great shot to medal. His 251 clean and jerk looked EASY…

What a performance. I think we all knew that he had more in him than what he showed us in the last year’s WWC, but this is insane.

I was initially left in shock by how easy it was. When I realized what happened, I started cursing at him for trying 212 instead of 215 lol

He was my highlight of the whole competition. Most results weren’t impressive. Strong showing by the Russina team. Must be some kind of a record.
Talakhadze lifts very smoothly. Great to watch him and seems to be capable of much more.
