His entry numbers are no bluff, after all. I was bummed about both Salimi and Albegov dropping out, but this man and Mohammed Essan will hopefully push Lovchev.

mart seim seems to have a word to say at c&j too !! it will be interesting to see. Obviously, it will be lovchev’s day, a kind of revenge after last year worlds when he missed his snatch !

      Isn’t Lovchev still competing?

Unless I’m misinterpreting logicalfellac, I think they’re saying that these other relatively less well known super heavy weights will force lovchev to choose higher weights. Rather than lovchev winning with his openers.

ohhhh I got it…I was being stupid and didn’t even see his last line about Lovchev. I thought Bahador was on the list too? (even injured I can see him in the 450kg range)

Happens to me alllll the time :). Yeah he’s there, he’s squatting more than what he was at Asian Championships so maybe he’s stronger. I’m not sure if he’ll want to take it easy until the Olympics, he got injured late last year and I think this is his second qualifying event for Rio.

            Here’s his latest results: http://www.iwrp.net/?view=contestant&id_zawodnik=11616

The kid is a beast…I want him healthy for Rio…having Bahador, Lovchev, Albegov and Salimi in one contest would be incredible!

I believe so. Before seeing these lifts, it seemed to me that Lovchev could take this one easy with maybe 205+245, but judging by the other guys’ numbers here, he’ll probably need more than that.

Definitely! Lovchev is capable of 210/255 or more. I hope the Georgian pushes him!

If he goes like this until the olympics,Lovchev will be the only one who can beat him. Now Alexsei’s situation is not clear yet so who knows? He might become the olympic champ. I am pretty sure he will be able to beat Albegov..
