Meanwhile in Colombia … at the 2015 Junior Pan American Championships.
20 year old Luis Mosquera won the 69kg category with a 150kg Snatch and 186kg Clean & Jerk.
He went 6/6 with 140/147/150 and then 172 (Power Clean)/182/186.
Next month he will compete at the Junior Worlds in Poland (now at 69kg). I’ll be there taking photos and videos!

Jose Dionisio Torres Jr says
He has skills…..
David Oliveira says
He should move permanently to the 69kg category. Colombia already has Figueroa and Francisco Mosquera in the 62’s, and his Total would’ve been Silver at last year’s World Championships.
Ross says
Hookgrip says he’s moving to 69 permanently.

Luis Mosquera vs. Mohamed Ehab vs. Oleg Chen vs. Daniyar Ismayilov vs. Shi Zhiyong at the WWC?
Magneto says
Could be an exciting battle for top spot with Liao Hui out of the way 🙂
Stephen Tsoi says
Whats more, he’s 5’9, same height as Ilyin. hugely competitive in his weight class despite being at a big height disadvantage.
topper says
Where did you get that info? I seriously doubt he’s anywhere above 170cm.
felipe says
insane difference between rank 1 and 2
Alfonso Rodriguez says
He does not look 5’9″, more like 5’5″ judging from his proportional height to the weight bar; about the same size as the Chinese 69 kg world champion. He has 2 years to Rio so maybe, barring an injury, he could make the podium. He could beat Chen, the Russian #1 or at very least tie him. Chen has a better snatch but Mosquera has a better C&J to make the difference.
Trevor says
He went 172, 173…and then 186? I’m guessing securing the C+J gold then going for whatever
