From the 2015 Worlds Training Hall …
Here is Om Yun Chol (56kg, North Korea) light power session.
He worked up to
- 100kg Snatches
- 140kg Power Clean & Jerks
- and finished the session with the usual Strict Presses.
This was filmed two days after his heavy (120/160) training session.

What he does with his Press is quite unusual, as he starts by pushing *back* his hips. He then pushes them forward, and after that his action is pretty conventional (some people might argue that such a dynamic start might necessarily require a tiny bit of knee unlocking, which is not part of a truly strict Press, but this is not the place for that discussion), but that little nudge back at the very start is not common at all. I suspect he might do that to get some ‘run up’.
