Last time we saw Ray Williams in a meet he squatted 410kg and forgot to wait for the rack command.
This time he gets 410kg easily.
For his 3rd attempt he went for 432.5kg (950 lbs) which also came up quickly. Didn’t count because he did not wait for the rack command. On his channel he wrote that the weight shifted forward and he “rocked on his toes”.
Anyway, nice to see those weights go down without wraps.
He also got a
- 237.5 kg Bench Press
- 340kg Deadlift
for a 987.5kg total (video of the other lifts here).

Ray is probably the second strongest squatter on the planet right now. I knew he was a freak since the first time I competed with him. Also, 432.5 kgs is 953 lbs… not that it matters since all you cool kids on ATG use kilos.

Who’s #1? Malanichev?

Also, as far as I know, Ray did not make 420 kgs. All his videos and Facebook report that he squatted 410 kgs / 904 lbs.

he missed his 2nd and 3rd squats at 950 something. I was side ref. He has lockout issues; squatted the hell out of it, just couldn’t lock up and get the rack command.
