Interesting — looks like the underground Finnish training hall.

Yeah, that was what I was thinking too. There must be something to these bunker training halls.

You are correct. It’s Nääshalli in Tampere, Finland.

Back squat video is from Ounasvaaran atleettiklubi “Rovaniemi Finland” where I trained from 2007-2010 , Jumping and front squat Video is from Nääshalli “Tampere Finland” which is an old war time bomb shelter, which I did pre 2012 Olympics training camp, Thanks to both clubs and friends in Finland ” Ounasvaaran atleettiklubi & Tampereen Pyrinto painonnosto” for allowing me to train there during the past years, and thanks “All things gym” for the love

Nice training vids Richie. What’s the connection with Finland and NZ?

2007 NZ weightlifting employed Ari Moilanen (Finnish Coach) as NZ head coach for 2 years, he took us back for summer training camp to Finland prior to the 2008 Beijing Olympics, after Ari returned to Finland in 2009 and I did training camps with Ari in Finnish summer through to 2010 Commonwealth Games India, I made great friends in many weightlifting clubs in Finland and decided to use Tampere as a training base before flying into London for the 2012 Olympics, great people/friends with a supportive federation.
