Shi Zhiyong 183 Power Clean 2016 Asian Weightlifting Championships

April 27, 2016 By Gregor Winter

Shi Zhiyong (China, 72.40kg) with an opening lift of a power clean and jerk of 183kg at the 2016 Asian Championships!

The entire audience gasped when they saw how high he caught the weight.

Shi Zhiyong (72.4kg, China) power cleaning 183kg/403lb at the 2016 Asian Championships! He also made a power jerk and also later CJed 191kg/421lb in the process of winning the title. He's the 2015 World Champion at 69kg but he's on the bubble for the Olympics simply because of the presence of Liao Hui — the dominant 69kg lifter in the world. Check out our video from a few days ago of his 235kg front squat!
