Only 2 weeks after he broke his Snatch world record in Kazakhstan,
17 year old Simon Martirosyan improved his mark to 184kg at the European Junior & Under 23 Championships in Limassol, Cyprus.
Another highlight from this session was 19 year old Marcel Guidea (or Marchel Guydya as he is called now).
He Clean & (Squat) Jerked 219 on his second attempt and go super close to 225kg.
What’s more, he only weighed in at 99.9kg bodyweight!

Kid’s a monster.
What a competition. Guidea is the Moldavian/Romanian name. It’s pronounced (Ya) at the end on Romanian (I suppose he is from Romanian minority there). That’s why they just changed the letters when he went to compete for Russia.
Kid’s going to be a legend in a few years as long as he stays injury free.
