iOS / Android: This may come in handy for all you who train in the morning.
Sleep Time is an alarm clock app that monitors and analyzes your sleep cycles to wake you up in the lightest sleep phase, so you have a better morning training session.
How it Works: You place your phone in bed with you and it detects movements with its accelerometers.
When you set an alarm the app will check what sleep cycle you are in. If it looks like you will be in deep sleep for your planned wake up time, it will wake you up a bit earlier during a lighter sleep phase, so you feel less groggy waking up.
At least that’s the theory behind it …
Try and see if it works for you. At the very least you get some fancy graphs of your sleep.
Price: Free for Android, iOS users have to pay $0.99
Update: Apparently you have to pay after 15 days of use.
Get it here: Google Play or iTunes App Store

Yeah there are various products like this on the market. Never tried them.

Does the android version require internet connection?
GregorATG says
It says so in the Permissions tab.
But I don’t think it is needed once you have set it up.

Only for people who sleep alone I suppose

From the FAQ:
DOES SLEEP TIME WORK IF ANOTHER PERSON OR A PET SLEEPS IN THE SAME BED?
Short answer: Yes!
Longer answer: Azumio developed a very sensitive algorithm for sleep time that, if placed close enough to you, will be isolated enough from their movement that it won’t skew the measurement. Of course, if your cat sleeps on top of your phone or if you place the phone on your partner’s side of your bed, the results might be less reliable–as you might have guessed. But if you place the phone on the, ahem, “loneliest” side of the bed, you’ll have sound results.
So there you have it! No need to avoid cuddling tonight.

I’ve been using it for a couple of days now and it does seem to work. It always wakes me up a little before I actually want to get up, but damn, I wake up without feeling groggy and refreshed. I like it, except you gotta buy the app after 15 days.

Thanks for the feedback. Glad to hear it does the job for you.
Didn’t know you have to pay after 15 days, but going to add the info to the post.
