Tan Yayun Knee Raises Almaty 2014 Worlds Training Hall

March 12, 2015 By Gregor Winter

Previously in the 2014 Worlds Training Hall …

As you have seen with the (lack of) Back Extensions in the worlds training hall, here is another improvisation.

Since there were no pull up bars or wall bars around smaller athletes like Tan Yayun (48kg, World Champion) in this case, used the Eleiko squat stands for anything that required hanging.

In the video you see her do some knee raises. But I doubt that it was intended to be ab work (too few reps for that). You can see her coach slap her back a couple of times. So I think it was intended as some kind of Spinal Decompression to relief back pressure. But again, just speculation on my part.

This was filmed on the day of my arrival, at the end of her training session, two days out from her competition.

Again, nothing extraordinary. Just thought you folks might enjoy the little things behind the scenes.
