Strongman Sundays …
Terry Hollands successfully rehabbed his biceps tear from the 2012 World’s Strongest Man.
You can follow his training log here and see what he did yesterday.
But as with all injuries, that tear is still in the back of his mind.
Felt very easy but still lacking confidence, kind of feel like I’m waiting for something to tear 🙁 . It’s coming back though.
He had a nice session nonetheless and is back on track.

Howcome strong men so often tear their bicep tendon?
GregorATG says
My guess: the jerky movements on stones which comes on top of their already heavy pulling training.
Daniel Jørgensen says
But it doesn’t happen in stone lifting – does it?
GregorATG says
It did for Terry. https://allthingsgym.com/2012/10/2012-worlds-strongest-man-rock-lift/
Daniel Jørgensen says
His was in the shoulder. Most often I believe it’s in the elbow

I thought it was mainly axle’s they rupture their biceps on, due to the increased width of the bar they can’t keep their arms straight so the bicep takes some of the strain. Also aren’t tyres are pretty bi-cep dependant getting it off the ground?
Pär Soldan says
My impression is that tears often happen i the tire flip event.
HM says
His clean technique is horrible. Why would he try and muscle the bar up rather than drop his hips and catch the bar?
GregorATG says
Non rotating sleeves, bigger diameter of bar.
