Here is a nice compilation of a lot of the unofficial world records that went down in training halls around the world.
If you have been following ATG a lot of it will look familiar. If not, then this is a nice video to get everybody on the same page.
PS: Here is the Ilya Ilin documentary where he snatched 196kg and clean & jerked 240kg.

most lifts are made with straps…
Stephen Powell says
Ivan Ivanov did 175 @ 56 in this vid not 52. Its From 1998 when the wieght classes changed and there are collars on the end. His 210 front sqaut was at 56. Peter Tanev did 205 not 215. The announcer confirms this on the video. I have it.
GregorATG says
Yep, I have the video too.
Luc Lapierre says
To be fair, it’s not as if Randall Strossen always got the weight right in his commentaries.
For Tanev’s lift, it looks like three reds, a yellow, a white, and a collar, which would be 215.
However, I will give you this: the third plate from the inside looks a little ambiguous: it might be a blue, which would make the total 205 like Strossen said. It’s pretty tough to tell with that image quality and level of colour saturation.

ilya ilin just blows my mind. Makes lifts that would be good for a shw look like a warm up.
Ben says
Left out Lapikov’s 215 snatch.
Andy says
The speed at which ilya ilin recovers from snatches and cleans is just ridiculous. I just wish he would compete more.
Boris says
can’t compete too often or else he’ll risk ruining his perfect record in competitions

Ilya will be beaten eventually too. He came early and won’t stay too long. Like Kolecki. He’s 30? He could still be competing nowadays. But matured very early and get old sooner than the others. That’s just the way it is. I’m grateful for being able to watch them while they’re around.
Leon says
Kolecki had very bad injuries. That was also bad luck. Ilin takes long brakes which might be very helpful for his longevity.

I think a lift can be called unofficial world record at least should be done in competition. Training doesn’t count. Lifts with straps also don’t count. Straps usually put 10 kg plus on your actual snatch. So if anybody had thought that Akkaev would snatch 210 in the olympics – forget it. We watch lot of training videos here (which is very enjoyable) and we finally believe that this is going to happen in competition.Well it will not.
Leon says
I have to disagree. Straps do make the training easier on the hands and also allow more volume, especially from the hang. But if they “add” 10 kg to the best lift than the hook grip is bad. After all the weights are not nearly as high as in the deadlift. So the grip is usually not much an issue when using chalk and tape for the thumb.
Of course you have a point, but it’s semantics. Those are great lifts. And inofficiall stays inofficial.

If anyone wants to know, Oscar Figueroa’s (COL, 62kg) best training lifts have been:
C&J 190kg
Snatch 150kg
And some other lifts:
Squat 250kg
Front Squat 230kg
Deadlift 260kg (for doubles, more like short pulls)
Bench Press 130kg
Of course, some of this lifts have been made a little over the 62kg BW, but anyway, I say it’s admirable.

Somebody tell him to start a YouTube channel.
Erik Blekeberg says
So much awesome in one video. It really appears that if you are going to be internationally successful, you need a triple bodyweight squat (more than in lighter weight classes). Those front squats are sick….
GHM says
OFFICIAL WR: 100kg
Snatch
Nico Vlad, 200.5 kg, 1986
Yury Zakharevich 200kg, 1983
C&J
Alexander Popov, 242.5 kg 1988
Would someone want to guess how much these guys record in pracrice waere in sub 100kg? Ilya Ilin is a great lifter in 2014 but would be just ok in 1988! Remember he is 105 kg and the above guys sub 100.
