Meanwhile in Russia …
Vasiliy Polovnikov started a YouTube Channel. Subscribe here.
In his first longer vlog style video he shows us you the apartment and also Squats a very slow 320kg Squat (10kg up from his previous heaviest Squat on video).
Pretty gutsy attempt after having trouble unracking that!
ATG’s Rep Max Calculator gave a 1RM estimation of 340 after he squatted the 295kg x5. Certainly ambitious, but possible with a little more stretch reflex action.
Update 24.04.2015: Vasiliy Squats 320kg x2!
Update: Translation thanks to “Wat”. Vasily says:
[Bathroom] “Greetings, my friends! I want to show how my workday starts. In the morning I take a shower to wake up and wake my head up. *shows the disorder in his bathroom*. I want to show you one cool moment. Look what happens to the toilets when a weightlifter is getting into prep shape. Take a look! *shows broken toilet* You gotta open the lid carefully.
[Gym] I am fixating the disks now, because they does not fit on the barbell anymore. This way of fixating is called “snivel”.
If I squat this much in current condition it would be good!
[Face to the camera] I am gonna do a high-wire-act now (highly risky thing). I am in a bad condition *snivels, apparently he caught cold or is otherwise sick* . Don’t repeat this!
[After Squat] was afraid going lower, something begun to crunch.
[In the chair] It is Saturday evening. He is upset that he took interview with some athletes, but accidently deleted it while editing the video. Maybe he will do them again, and he will certainly show the Russian base, its insides and training/relaxing process. Also maybe he will show what Russian athletes’ life looks like outside of training.
More Vasiliy:
- His Interview on ATG
- His 200kg Snatch
- His 190kg Hang Snatch
- His 330kg Deadlift
- and his 140kg x2 BTN Snatch Grip Press

Russians should ve known better than placing a non-weightlifting-proof toilet in Vasiliy apartment
