Wonder how much he could do with proper technique. That hip bang & arm bend…
Seth says
Lol^^
Jepa says
You think that almost stopping the bar at the hips is advantageous?
Seth says
I think that the kid snatches 150kg at 71kg and 17 years of age, and has some of the best coaching available in the world. Don’t worry about his technique.

Comment of the year?
Nyah-nyah says
Haha! This reminds me of a douche that almost always comments on Klokov’s videos in YT and says stuff about how Klokov is making mistakes and how he is doing the same stuff as in the video but better, at home.
Jing Yi Wang says
i remember a kaz lifter who won gold this year had a similiar technique. anyways one must have balls of steel to hit the weight and make it fly high enough
Kawi says
Making contact with the hip was part of classical Soviet snatch technique, and is probably still taught in Russia; i.e. Yarkin’s technique more likely represents the rule than the exception in Russia.
Helder says
Don’t agree, you don’t see russian lifters almost stopping at the hip and throwing his head back..nonetheless,amazing lift ,the kid has insane speed.
Kawi says
Fair points. Making hip contact is not exceptional, but upon watching the video I agree the way Yarkin does it and especially the way throws his head back is unusual.
