You know how you sometimes stop doing exercises and you slowly begin to forget about them?
Especially in gymnastics / bodyweight training, where there are literally hundreds thousands of exciting exercises available, this happened to me more than once before.
Here is an underestimated exercise I used to do and recently rediscovered:
Wall Bars Support Hold (back and front)
The front / back wall bars support holds are great compound exercises.
Your whole core / upper body will be working hard and you will start shaking like a leaf in the wind.
The back wall bars support hold with locked straight arms (in the beginning of the clip) is a fantastic exercise to condition your elbows and bicep tendons for harder work like back levers or everything else that requires straight arm strength.
The front wall bars support hold with completely locked straight arms will provide great conditioning to you triceps, shoulders, lats, back in general and abs…
Both exercises will work your whole upper body.
I will be doing 3-5 sets of 20 second holds for each side in my next gymnastics workouts.
What are exercises you recently rediscovered?
