- you want to develop strength in the positions you use
- high bar squat has good transfer to other exercises
- if you are a strong high bar squatter you are also likely to be a strong low bar squatter, but not the other way around
- Doctor Squat (Fredrick Hatfield) supposedly said that even powerlifters should spend a good amount of time in their off season high bar squatting

both low, I take it to be a strong high bar squatter will likely be a strong low bar squatter (given dr squats reccomendation)
