my coach would think im on drugs if i started doing that ha
GregorATG says
Your coach needs to start reading ATG 🙂
Just mix in some of the exercises each session and your coach won’t notice.

Hey good coach but I’ll stick to bodyweight squats followed by light squats into bar work. Most of that stuff looks ridiculous and probably not that necessary and prolongs your workout time With oly lifting especially just working the actual movement is the most important thing you can do
GregorATG says
This wouldn’t be enough for. I am very (probably over-) cautious when it comes to warming up.
Roberto says
this kind of warm up is very important for those who have poor joint mobility. Not to say that every novice lifter must begin the training doing this stuff. Great to see this coach with healthly joints flexibility and speed.
GregorATG says
Yeah it is just good to know that stuff exists and broaden ones horizon. That is what the site is all about.

If I do recall, at the OTC they would have a session at 8AM just to move around and “wake the body up”. So the general purposeless movement is mainly just to open the body up. It may look ridiculous to some, but I would imagine it makes them feel fresh.
